ULTRASOUND-GUIDED INJECTIONS

All injections administered by Dr. Mujica are done using ultrasound vein mapping. Ultrasound imaging lets the doctor visualize the facial and superficial anatomy in real time, ensuring the safe placement of dermal fillers and the swift management of potential complications.

The procedure involves applying a small amount of gel to the treatment areas, then using an ultrasound probe to map the underlying blood vessels. This lets the doctor visualize the muscles, blood vessels, and soft tissues in real time, allowing for precise placement of the dermal fillers. Once the doctor has mapped the areas, he will thoroughly disinfect the skin and adjust his approach to avoid any high-risk areas.

In the event of complications, ultrasound imaging can help identify blood vessels that may be affected by hyaluronic acid-based fillers or pinpoint areas such as filler nodules, allowing for more precise treatment.
