The Elite iQ laser system offers the ideal combination of wavelengths (755-nm alexandrite and 1064-nm Nd:YAG), making the treatments fast, safe, and effective. This device allows us to treat all skin types and almost all hair types, from dark to light. It rejuvenates the skin by eliminating age or sun spots and uneven pigmentation. It also helps calm redness by stimulating collagen production, improving skin texture at the same time.
It is equipped with the Skintel Melanin Reader (Skintel reader), designed to be used with the Elite iQ system to take objective measurements of the skin’s melanin content. The Skintel reader guides the user in selecting the test spot parameters prior to treatment. It can also be used to record and track changes in a patient’s sun exposure or tanning, in order to improve treatment recommendations. The Skintel value is one of the measurement tools used to improve the safety of our treatments.
SKINTEL
Skintel is a melanin reader designed to measure and analyze melanin levels in the skin. Melanin is the pigment responsible for our skin, hair and eye colour. By measuring the amount of melanin in the skin, Elite iQ’s melanin reader can help healthcare professionals and esthetic practitioners determine a client’s skin type and tailor their treatments accordingly.
Using this technology, technicians can obtain accurate information about a person’s melanin levels, which they can use to plan treatments such as laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, treatment of pigment spots or assessing the risks associated with sun exposure.
